Chaos Magic Theory and the Illuminates of Thanateros

Misinformation abounds, especially online, about what exactly chaos magic is. Is it pop culture magic? Is it based on Warhammer? Is it solely the domain of edgelord teenagers and armchair reddit wizards?

Similarly, there seems to be an impenetrable air of mystery around what exactly the Illuminates of Thanateros is. Do they even exist anymore, or was that organization a flash in the pan during the end of the last century?

Soror Inania will explain the philosophy of chaos magic, which isn’t exactly a paradigm of its own, but an experimental, postmodern meta-paradigm and a lens through which to view and experiment with the nature of magic itself. She’ll also divulge what her oaths allow about the Magical Pact of the Illuminates of Thanateros, the first and longest running chaos magic organization, of which she has been a member for the last 5 years.

Soror Inania is a lifelong scholar and practitioner of the occult arts. She is presently a 3° member of the Magical Pact of the Illuminates of Thanateros, within which she holds the titles of Priestess of Chaos and Magistra Templi for the Pacific Northwest.
