In everyone’s natal chart, there is a planet that is bonded to the workings of one’s soul. This planet becomes the overarching spirit that guides us in how we navigate life and work with our own souls as well as the world around us. The method of finding this spirit, known as the “Guardian Daemon” in astrology, is outlined by Ibn Ezra in his work, “The Beginning of Wisdom.” In this lecture, we will learn how to find that planet for ourselves and also look at the example chart of Pablo Picasso and Max Ernst to see how it was a guiding principle in their chart. There will also be suggestions on how to work with this planet on a theurgic level through incense, ritual items, Orphic poetry, and prayer.
