Johann Faust, the 15th century’s most notorious alchemist, astrologer, and magician, was a fixture of German magical traditions. As his legend grew, so did the proliferation of grimoires describing demonic pacts in exchange for knowledge and occult powers. Dr. Literski will discuss these sources, including their impact on the work of C. G. Jung.
