“The Moonlit Hermit Tarot is a unique tarot deck born of the culmination of years of study, meditation, and labor. Over the course of 2 years I finished each card as a piece of collage art which reflected my impressions and interpretation of the cards.
“This is a tarot deck designed to be used. The cards measure 70mm x 120mm The Moonlit Hermit Tarot is appropriate for beginners and experts and was created for practical use.
“I styled this deck after the classic Tarot de Marseille, with the Majors, the Court Cards, and the Aces sometimes look very similar and sometimes look radically different from other Marseille tarot decks. The figures in each of the cards are facing the same direction as they do in other Marseille decks and much of the important elements of each card has been retained. The Minor Arcana cards are lightly illustrated. Strength is 11 and Justice is 8.
“Each deck comes in a rigid, two part box and includes a 40 page Little White Book of meanings and descriptions of the symbolism of each card. The cards are also edged in shiny black and are embossed with a linen texture. In addition to the standard 78 cards I have included 4 bonus, unlabeled cards which were originally designed to represent the Four Goetic Kings but they can take on whatever meaning suits your intuition.
“The designs of each of the cards are composed of razor cut construction paper and images gathered from various sources. Everything in each of the images is a physical object. These were assembled and photographed. The backs too were designed of razor cut construction paper.”
